Jupiter, the biggest planet and also the oldest planet in the solar system has additional moons than previously thought. According to reports and findings from astronomers, recently there has been addition of moons orbit on the planet. This reports stated that according to the research conducted, it was found that there is additional number of orbits around the planet. Nevertheless, there are Jovian moon’s revolving around the planet.
Summing up the available moons on the Jupiter, the number has increased from 67 moons to 79 moons. This is addition of this new 12 Jovian moons seen revolving around the planet. This was concluded after multiple orbits where seen around Jupiter by the astronomer’s union in DC.
According to Sheppard and his team at Carnegie, this mission was set to detect more bodies beyond Pluto. However, as the detectors reached Jupiter’s path, the detectors saw additional number of orbits on the planet’s surface which got Sheppard and his team to attention.
Sheppard said that this missions conducted are to identify all the unknown object within our solar system. According to Sheppard, there are lots of objects revolving around our solar system. This mission on the other hand was used to detect and identify unknown object across the solar system and objects beyond planet Pluto.
According to the observatory facility in Chile, the detectors which are used to detect the presence of unknown object recently detected faint unknown object far away from Pluto. According to the 4-meter telescope used at the facility, several bodies are revolving within our solar system which are unknown and seem of value to us down here on earth.
This mission was funded to detect not only unknown object but more so check for unknown harmful object which might be close to the earth. This mission basically was a lifesaving mission which currently got the researchers and astronomers to surprise by finding out that Jupiter had additional number of moons than previously reported. This was a great achievement for the research facility as it has added some scientific facts to history.
